Lent is the
period of 40 days that comes before Easter in the Christian calendar. It is the
Beginning on Ash Wednesday, Lent is a season of reflection and preparation
before the celebrations of Easter. By observing the 40 days of Lent, Christians
replicate Jesus Christ's sacrifice and withdrawal into the desert for 40 days.
During Lent, Orthodox Christians, Catholics, and some Protestants prepare for
Holy Week by fasting, praying, and reconciling with the Lord.
In the past year
and today’s were different for this pandemic haven’t ended yet. People were
limited on every event. It is strictly not allowed gatherings. And for that
people were asked to practice protocols for safety. People were limited to
enter due to distances. For all people
to still participate in the mass, some were broadcasted and watched through
television and social media. Despite this situation, people can still think of
a way to continue such events that means so much to all of us.
