During the First Quarter Experiences

Learning amidst the pandemic is hard. I don’t learn like what I used to during face to face class. I was just answering my modules and go direct seeking answers because we don’t have enough time to review the topic, but despite that situation, I am still doing my best to at least learn.

I have encountered challenges during answering the given tasks especially the subjects that I find hard. The given due time on answering the module is not enough, first of all, we have to read the concept notes, understand them before answering. I struggled to answer the question that isn’t cited in the concept notes. I even do not often socialize with my family because of the overload of tasks. But despite the negativities effect that it gives me, I learned to be more independent, to trust myself, and to open up to my family. I also learned to prioritize my health, after the second week of modules, I told myself to not overstress myself answering them and just answer what I know,  I also ask help from my sisters and that became our bonding.

I addressed the challenges I faced by strengthening my faith and being positive and also opening up to my family.

As I survived the first quarter, I felt relieved. By the following quarters that will come, I will be more productive and do my best to learn.

Take Action!

Earth is supposed to be the safest place to live with for us humans but not anymore now. Pollution, floods, erosion, global warming, climate change and many to mention are just some of the biggest problems our world is facing today. We are aware of these issues but people couldn’t stop doing the things that causes the issues. Every day we produce tons of Garbage waste and throw it anywhere recklessly. Doing illegal things like deforestation suffocates nature. Saving our earth and its environment becomes highly important as it provides us food and water to sustain life. Our well-being solely depends on this planet it gives food and water to all living things to it is our responsibility to take care of it. We have the responsibility to take care of it and not the opposite because we are the stewards of God’s creation. There’s no excuse for doing illegal things that could make the ecosystem suffer. Instead of doing that, why not do things that’ll restore the ecosystem? There are m...

Women Rise Up (Thematic Output)

In society, women tended to be known as weaker than men. Men are labeled as the stronger ones, they be looking up to for they were known for being hardworking, which is assigned on doing the harder works, and believed that women can’t. Women then were so limited in their actions, they depend on men, they are conservative, so-called Maria Clara. In this vision of society, discrimination against women is created. We are all influenced by gender, gender norms tell us what is appropriate for boys and girls, women and men to do in society. Because of this, girls and women are often less valued and have lower social status. Women suffer the most of the negative impact of the gender norms and roles, they are more likely to experience restrictions of their freedom and mobility, have fewer opportunities to choose how to live their lives. As time goes by, the stereotype of women was slowly breaking. Living in 20th century, where women as a leader, women as the ones who are wor...
