Here in our country Philippines, we are experiencing a lot
of calamities, it is prone to natural disasters. The Philippines has suffered
from an inexhaustible number of deadly typhoons, earthquakes, volcano
eruptions, and other natural disasters. This is due to its location along the
Pacific Ring of Fire.
Due to these calamities, the Philippine Government takes
disaster risk seriously and has devoted significant resources to build disaster
capacity and reduce population exposure and vulnerability, nationally and
locally. News reporters will always be there to inform and update us on these
calamities. Houses, buildings, and other structures that have been damaged will
rebuild and repair. Disaster Risk Reduction (DDR) and Resilience interventions
aim to reduce and mitigate the risk of displacement and increase the resilience
of communities to cope with disasters.
We, people of The Philippines, still manage to put a smile on our faces after the calamities,
there goes the saying “it is more fun in the Philippines”. Unity is a must in
times of calamities. We have to be united and work together to have more
strength to beat our country’s disasters and problems.

ReplyDeleteThis year is an eye-opener for all of us. We've been through a lot. But I think Filipino resiliency should not always be considered in such catastrophic tragedies. Cause going through with such is difficult. It's hard to rise again from the ashes and to start a new life if all the things you have invested were be suddenly gone in just a snap of a finger.
